A Touch of Ireland in Reston: St. Patrick's Day 2025 Celebrations

As the air fills with the promise of spring, Reston is ready to don its greenest hues for another spectacular St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Whether you're reveling in lively pub gatherings, tapping your feet to traditional Irish music, or savoring the warmth of shepherd’s pie, this March offers plenty of ways to embrace the Irish spirit. From high-energy Irish dance performances to lively celebrations for all ages, there’s no shortage of ways to join in the fun.

🍀 Irish Dancing at Reston Library 🍀

Get a close-up look at traditional Irish dance as Foley Academy of Irish Dance performs at the Reston Regional Library at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15. Expect high-energy solos and lively céilí dances. A great event for families and anyone who loves Irish culture.

A local favorite for more than 40 years, The Old Brogue is hosting its 44th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Bash on Monday, March 17. The day kicks off with an Irish breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. at Katie’s Coffee House, followed by live music, Irish beers, and traditional food. Foley Academy Irish Dancers will perform at 8:45 p.m. Saturday, March 15. For a more intimate setting, check out The Snuggery’s Irish Concerts, featuring Tam McGeady & The Mostly Irish Band during lunch and dinner.

A go-to spot for St. Patrick’s Day, Jimmy’s is hosting a weekend full of Irish food, live music, and dancing. Foley Academy dancers will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Come for the show; stay for the food and atmosphere.

🍀 Lucky Leprechaun 5K 🍀

For a more active way to celebrate, sign up for the Lucky Leprechaun 5K at 8 a.m. Sunday, March 16, at Reston Town Center. Runners can participate in person or virtually. Pre-registered participants receive a race shirt, medal, and finisher certificate. Wear your best green gear and hit the pavement!
