A delightful new exhibit of colorful, imaginative artworks created during the Reston Art Gallery’s Children’s Arts and Crafts class is on display at Reston’s Used Book Shop, 1623 Washington Plaza North, Lake Anne Plaza.
Every Saturday morning, local artist Pat Macintyre, founder of the Reston Art Gallery, welcomes children of all ages to her free drop-in arts and crafts class. Whether they're painting, drawing, or making collages, young artists explore a variety of techniques as they create their own masterpieces in a fun and inspiring environment.
Since 1985, Pat has been leading her children’s art classes and nurturing the creativity of countless young talents. Now, thanks to a special collaboration with the Reston’s Used Book Shop, many of these beautiful pieces are being shared with the broader community in a cheerful exhibit located in the children’s section of the bookstore.
The exhibit is free to enjoy during regular shop hours and is a wonderful testament to the joy and creativity of Reston's youngest artists.
Pat’s drop-in arts and crafts classes are held every Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon, in front of the Reston Art Gallery & Studios, 11400 Washington Plaza W # B. The gallery is open Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
