The 2025 Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta Returns – Saturday, August 9!

Join us for one of Reston’s most beloved summer traditions, the Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta, presented by the Reston Museum! Watch as teams race handcrafted boats made entirely of cardboard, duct tape, and plenty of imagination across Lake Anne in a fun-filled celebration of creativity and community. Enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, and the unforgettable sight of these boats on the water.

• View boats starting at 12:00pm, races will start at 1:00pm.

• Awards presented for speed and most epic sinking

• VIP seating is available, sponsored by Open Road Reston, which includes shade, prime views, and a $25 gift card, all for a $50 donation
