Florida furrier to collect old furs for restyling at Scout and Molly’s

On Monday June 9 and Tuesday, June 10, Scout and Molly’s Boutique at Reston Town Center will host a trunk show by Restyle Your Fur– a division of LaBelle Furs, which is the largest full-service furrier in Florida. Employees from Restyle Your Fur will assess your fur clothing, transport it to their shop, restyle it for you, and return it in 16 weeks. The event will last from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

This is a wonderful way to repurpose your grandmother’s outdated old fur coat lurking in the back of your closet. Restyle Your Fur will convert it into a keepsake such as a teddy bear, or into something practical such as pillows, throws, or wearable such as jackets, vests, reversible garments, handbags, and other accessories. They also offer alterations, repairs, cleaning, and storage. In a society looking for simple ways to increase sustainability, this is a no-brainer if you have furs that are not being used.

When customers bring their furs to Scout and Molly’s, Restyle Your Fur staff will assess the condition of the furs and provide updating and restyling options with you. If necessary they will take your exact measurements. You will be able to make specific and individual requests face-to-face with the staff who will be restyling your fur pieces for them. Customers can expect their restyled fur products to be restyled and hand delivered back to Reston in 16 weeks.

The staff member who will be at Scout and Molly’s June 9 and 10 and also for the return 16 weeks later, Becca Cacciarelli, shared, “These are often sentimental events, with customers tearing up, since many times we turn inherited fur coats into keepsakes.” She also shared that if there are monograms inside the original, typically outdated fur, they can transfer them into the new product, which makes the restyled piece more meaningful as well.
