Reston residents serious about their health and wellness have a new community-focused option for personalized fitness. Alloy Personal Training opened its newest studio in the North Point Village Center on Aug. 18, bringing its proven model of science-backed, small group personal training to Reston.

Chase Daniels, Alloy Reston’s Regional Head Coach, said the decision to open a location here was rooted in a shared value: community. “Reston has a strong sense of community, and Alloy is all about building that through small group training,” Daniels said. “When we visited North Point Village Center, the energy was incredible. We knew we had to be a part of it.”

What sets Alloy apart from traditional gyms is its unique blend of expert-led personal training and the motivation of small group workouts. Each session is capped at six members, allowing for hands-on coaching that prioritizes safety, effectiveness, and fun.

“Our training philosophy is about delivering personalized, science-based programs in a supportive, coach-driven environment,” Daniels explained. “It’s about empowering people to look, feel, and perform their best—with a little humor and ‘a touch of crazy’ thrown in.”

Alloy trainers work with a wide range of clients, though many fall between the ages of 45 and 65. Clients begin their journey with a Starting Point Session, a comprehensive 1-on-1 evaluation including injury screening, mobility assessment, body composition analysis, and a sample workout. From there, coaches create customized plans based on individual goals and fitness levels.

All Alloy trainers are nationally certified and trained in the franchise’s methodology through a detailed onboarding program that includes shadow sessions and immersion into Alloy’s core values. The Reston studio will feature an array of functional fitness tools—from kettlebells and sandbags to cable machines and even a tank sled—carefully selected for each client’s specific needs.

Progress is tracked using an InBody Scanner, which provides real-time data on body composition, helping members measure fat loss, muscle gain, and other key metrics.

Daniels emphasized that Alloy is an ideal starting point for people new to fitness or those who’ve felt overwhelmed in traditional gyms. “From the moment you walk through our doors, you’re greeted by name and guided step-by-step. It’s a safe, non-intimidating environment where everyone feels empowered.”

Recovery and injury prevention are also key pillars of the Alloy model. Sessions start with a dynamic warmup, and coaches provide mobility and stretching routines to reduce injury risk and promote sustainable progress.

What makes the Reston location unique, Daniels said, is its hybrid of local ownership and national expertise. “We’re rooted in the community, but backed by a franchisor with more than 30 years in small group training. It’s the best of both worlds.”

The studio plans to engage with the local community through business partnerships, sponsorships, and educational events. In Falls Church, where Daniels also operates an Alloy studio, they sponsor the annual 5K for the Falls Church Education Foundation.

Because Alloy sessions are intentionally small, membership will be limited to just 150 people. “That’s by design,” Daniels said. “We want each member to feel known, supported, and successful. Our long-term goal is to see those 150 people hit their milestones and live their best lives.”

Anyone interested in joining may schedule a complimentary Starting Point Session by calling, emailing, or stopping by the studio. For more information, visit https://alloypersonaltraining.com/location/reston-va/ or call 571-604-5307.
